||Charnock suffered their second defeat in pre-season friendlies, conceding a goal in each half to Unibond League Chorley.
||The draw for the first round of the Lancashire Amateur Shield has been made and Charnock Richard are at home to Eagley on Saturday 12th September Kick Off 2.00pm
||For the second year in succession Charnock Richard started the season with a friendly against Unibond League Clitheroe and once again the score was 2-1 to the visitors.
||The league fixtures for August have been published on the West Lancashire League website.
Charnock have two away games to start the season. Tempest United on 8th August and Coppull United on the following Tuesday.

||Congratulations to Stephen Mawdesley who received a 30 years long service award from the Lancashire Football Association at their Annual General Meeting on Monday, 15th June, 2009. This being in recognition of his long service with our club.
||The Senior Sections Annual General Meeting will take place in the clubhouse on Monday, 22nd June, 2009, at 8pm. Any items for discussion should be sent to the Secretary, Graham Randle, prior to the meeting. See the 'Officials & Contacts' page, an e-mail will suffice.
||Just a reminder that the Senior Football Section Player's Presentation Night is on this coming Saturday. Plenty of awards, some special guests, a disco and a buffet. It's all free and starts in the clubhouse at 7.30pm.
||The coming season will again see the Club charging £1.50 admission for first team home games. As last season the admission price includes entry into the raffle.
This season we are offering season tickets at £25 for all home games which includes all the pre-season games (5), 15 league games and any home ties in the Lancashire Shield and Richardson Cup. This is an impressive cost saving!
A programme subscription for next season will again cost £15 but this does not include any pre-season games, just League, Shield and Cup games. If the club qualify for the Goldline Quarter Finals with an home game this programme will be included in the subscription. Contact Keith Reader for both these offers.
