Player Profiles
   Ryan Donnellan (Manager)
Started with his home town club at the age of 15 and came through the Charnock Richard youth system. He progressed to the reserve side in the West Lancashire League in 2012-13 and netted 31 goals. Ryan was a member a prominent member of the successful Charnock Richard reserve side that won the West Lancashire League Reserve Division 1 championship and Houston Cup in 2013-14 and scored a further 41 goals. Ryan made his first team debut at Eagley in the West Lancashire League Premier Division on the 15th November 2014. He became manager of the reserve team at Mossie Park in 2017-18 and was appointed first team manager at the start of the 2019-20 campaign. Whilst reserve team boss, the side went 29 consecutive games unbeaten and also won West Lancashire League Challenge Cup.

   Dave Haslam (Assistant Manager)
Dave has many seasons experience in semi-professional football with Chorley, Leyland Motors and Horwich RMI. Joined Charnock at the start of the 2004/05 season and his knowledge of local football has assisted previous manager Andy Westwell in developing the Charnock teams which have enjoyed so much success over recent seasons.

   Dan Crofts (Coach)
Goalkeeper Dan started his footballing career at Coppull United in the West Lancashire League where he remained for two seasons. Signed for Charnock Richard at the start of the 2015-16 season and stayed for two and-a –half seasons before joining Northern Premier League outfit Colne as a goalkeeping coach. Moved to North West Counties League side Padiham at the start of the 2018-19 season as coach before re-joining the ranks at Mossie Park in the summer of 2019.

Goalkeeper Gareth, started and finished playing with his home town club Charnock Richard; coming through the junior and youth team ranks before spending no less than 15 years with the senior sides. Gareth managed the junior sides at Mossie Park for around 20 years including five years as chairman of the Junior Section.

Kate became the first team physio at the start of the 2019-20 season. Kate, who has been connected with the Mossie Park side for a number of years, is presently attending the University Of Central Lancashire, where she is studying Physiotherapy.

   Ben Ascroft (Goalkeeper)
Billinge lad Ben started his football career at Blackburn Rovers in 2016 before signing for Northern Premier League side Warrington Town on his release at the start of the 2017-18 campaign. Ben then joined City Of Liverpool in March 2018 and was a member of the ‘Purps’ North West Counties League Premier Division title winning side that season. He joined Charnock Richard in the summer of 2019. Ben made his debut for the Villagers on the first day of term on the 3rd August 2019 at Gorsey Lane against Rylands in the North West Counties League Premier Division.

   Ashley Young (Defender/Midfield)
Ashley joined the ranks at Mossie Park in early January 2014 from Eagley. He made his Charnock Richard debut at Euxton Villa in the Premier Division on the 11th January 2014 and went on to make a big contribution to the West Lancashire League title winning side in the 2013-14 campaign. He left to join Padiham in September 2014. Then joined Coppull United for the 2015-16 campaign before rejoining the ranks at the beginning of the 2016-17 season.

   Oliver Turner (Defender)
Oliver joined the ranks at Mossie Park from Glossop North End in mid-November 2018 and made his Charnock Richard debut in the North West Counties League Premier Division against Runcorn Town at the Pavilions on the 21st November 2018. Oliver was with West Lancashire League side Chew Moor Brook before joining Glossop North End in the summer of 2018.

Ross was a regular member of the successful reserve side that won the West Lancashire League Reserves Division One championship and Houston Cup in 2013-14 before establishing himself in the first team the following season. Ross made his debut for the first team on the 17th August 2013 in the Premier Division of the West Lancashire League at Mossie Park against Fleetwood Hesketh.

   Spencer Bibby (Defender/Midfield)
Spencer is following in his father’s footsteps at Charnock Richard and has come through the junior set up at Mossie Park. He is a young skilful player with great prospects. He represented the Lancashire County FA at youth level. Spencer made his Charnock Richard debut at Mossie Park on the 29th September 2012 against Fulwood Amateurs in the Premier Division of the West Lancashire League.

In his second spell at Mossie Park. Ryan spent four years on schoolboy forms with Manchester City before joining the youth set up at Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2011-12. He won a winners medal in a youth tournament in Holland in 2012 during his two seasons with the Midlands club before joining Charnock Richard for the first time at the start of the 2013-14 season on his release from Molineux. Ryan made his debut for the Villagers on the 21st August 2013 in the Premier Division of the West Lancashire League at the Barden Sports Ground against Burnley United and scored his first goal for the club in Charnock’s local derby victory over near neighbours Coppull United at Blainscough Park on the 31st August. He left to join Northern Premier League side Northwich Victoria before the end of the season and later had a short spell at Burscough.

   Aaron Griffiths (Defender/Midfield)
Aaron was with the academy side at Bamber Bridge where he represented the Lancashire FA under 18s in 2017 before joining the ranks at Charnock Richard. Aaron then came through the ranks at Mossie Park and impressed when coming on as a substitute near the end of the 2018-19 campaign. Aaron made his debut for the Villagers on the opening day of term on the 3rd August 2019 at Gorsey Lane against Rylands in the Premier Division of the North West Counties League.

   James Walker (Defender)
James started his football education in the junior ranks; first with Tarleton Corinthians and then with Penwortham Town. He graduated into senior football with North West Counties League side AFC Blackpool in the 2010-11 season where he stayed for three years. James left the Mechanics Ground in 2013-14 and threw in his lot with Clitheroe where he was to enjoy a three and a half year stint with the Shawbridge club before signing for Padiham in February 2017. James then transferred to Charnock Richard at the beginning of October 2017.

Bolton lad Owen was with the academy side at Fleetwood Town before joining Charnock Richard in 2018-19. He made his first team debut at Mossie Park in the 5-0 win over Squires Gate in the North West Counties League Premier Division on the 22nd April 2019.

Former Charnock junior, Danny returned to the Mossie Park fold from Ashton Athletic at the beginning of the 2018-19 season. Danny left to join North West Counties League side Atherton Laburnum Rovers and stayed with the Crilly Park club for a season before a five season spell at Brocstedes Park with Ashton Athletic. He made his debut for Charnock Richard on the 4th August 2018 at Mossie Park in a 2-0 win over Barnoldswick Town in the North West Counties League Premier Division.

   Nathan Fairhurst (Midfield)
Nathan is a midfielder who spent his early days in the game with Preston North End and Wrexham. Nathan was Born and raised in Chorley. He is a former Deepdale apprentice who made a permanent move to Wrexham in the Conference National Division in August 2009 following a successful loan spell the season before. First team chances were limited at the Racecourse Ground and Nathan joined his home town side Chorley following the club receiving international clearance in late August 2010. He was released from Victory Park in mid October 2011 after making 41 appearances for the ‘Magpies’, scoring once. On the 5th November Nathan joined Northern Premier League outfit Kendal Town Signed by Coppull United in 2013-14 and spent three seasons at Blainscough Park before joining Charnock Richard in the summer of 2016.

   Mark Woods (Midfield)
Mark started his career at Blackburn Rovers as a 16 year old before moving on the Conference side Morecambe. He left the Shrimps after twelve months due to work commitments but on his return to the game he joined Preston & District League outfit Leyland Red Rose. Mark was with the club when it amalgamated with Leyland in the summer of 2011 to form Leyland United. He won a Preston & District League Premier Division championship winners medal in 2011-12 and remained with United in their first ever campaign in the West Lancashire League. Mark joined the ranks at Mossie Park in the summer of 2013. Mark took over as skipper following the retirement of club legend, Andy Roberts, at the end of the 2014-15 season. He then spent a season at Longridge Town before returning to Mossie Park for the start of the 2017-18 season. Mark made his Charnock Richard debut on the 27th July 2013 at Mossie Park against Eagley in the West Lancashire League Wilf Carr Memorial Trophy between the League champions and Richardson Cup winners.

   Jack Bennett (Midfield)
Jack came through the ranks at Mossie Park and was a prominent member of the successful Charnock Richard reserve side that won the West Lancashire League Reserve Division 1 championship and Houston Cup in 2013-14. Jack made his first team debut for Charnock Richard on the 17th August 2013 in the Premier Division of the West Lancashire League at Eagley. However, he moved on to near neighbours Euxton Villa where he enjoyed a few years; becoming team captain. He had a brief sojourn at Longridge Town before moving on to Garstang on the 12th November 2018. Jack re-joined Charnock Richard for the start of the 2019-20 campaign.

   Richard Ainscough (Midfield)
Bolton lad Richard has gained a wealth of experience since leaving Blackburn Rovers at the age of 18. Indeed, Rick has enjoyed spells in America, Canada, Finland and Gibraltar. Whilst in Finland he turned out for PEPO Lappeenranta before moving to Gibraltar Division 2 side Bruno’s Magpies for a short spell. On returning to England Richard joined Yorkshire side Silsden for a short time before transferring to Padiham in January 2019. Became a Charnock Richard player at the start of the 2019-20 season.

Lewis started his football career at Bury before joining the Northern Premier League side Hyde United Academy set up in November 2016. He joined Abbey Hey in September 2017 before moving to Charnock Richard at the start of the 2019-20 campaign. Lewis made his Charnock debut on the 10th August 2019 in an FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round tie at Mossie Park.

Matt joined Charnock Richard towards the end of the 2016-17 campaign from Daisy Hill. Strangely enough, Matt made his debut for the Mossie Park outfit at Daisy Hill on the 25th February 2017 scoring against his former team mates in a 7-0 Charnock win in Division 1 of the North West Counties League at New Sirs.

Recruited from Eagley where he had been a favourite for several seasons. A big strong lad and a prolific goal scorer who has added extra fire power to the attack. Charnock Richard’s leading marksman once again this season. Carl scored on his Charnock Richard debut at Mossie Park in the Goldline Trophy on the 21st July 2009 against Manchester League side Hindsford. Carl won the North West Counties League Division 1‘Golden Boot Award’ in 2016-17 when scoring 45 goals in Charnock Richard’s first season at Step 6 of the National League System and repeated the feat the following season in the Premier Division scoring 51. He won the Premier Division award again the following season when netting 42. Carl has netted over 400 goals for Charnock Richard in competitive games.

   Oliver Oxley (Striker)
Oliver was signed from West Lancashire League side Lostock St Gerard’s, his only previous club in February 2018. He was with the Wateringpool Lane side for a season and a half. Oxley impressed at Mossie Park during the 2018 summer pre-season fixtures scoring two goals against Northern Premier League opponents. Following a couple of substitute appearances Oliver made his full debut for the club on the 18th August 2018 at Mossie Park in the North West Counties League Premier Division against Hanley Town.

Jack arrived at Mossie Park on a dual-registration from National League side AFC Fylde just prior to the opening of the 2019-20 campaign. He was on a duel-registration in March during the 2018-19 season with Northern Premier League outfit Ramsbottom United whist with the ‘Coasters’. He joined AFC Fylde when he was 16 years old and has spent four and a half years at Mill Farm. However, he spent a few months with Squires Gate when he was 17. Jack also had a short spell with Padiham in 2018-19 He made his debut for Charnock Richard in an FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round tie against Merseysiders, Lower Breck on the 10th August 2019; scoring what proved to be the winning goal.

Jordan Started his football career at Chorley and came through the ‘Magpies’ youth set-up at Victory Park before enjoying successful loans spells in the 2018-19 season with Bamber Bridge and Northwich Victoria, following an earlier stint with Skelmersdale United. The highly-rated forward signed for Clitheroe in the summer of 2019 before joining the ranks at Charnock Richard on a dual registration in early September. Jordan scored when coming on as a second half substitute in his first game in a green shirt in the NWCL Premier Division at Irlam on the 10th September 2019.
